Service

This week went by so fast!
We have been working so hard and we have seen some bomb miracles!
This past saturday we helped with woman move and it took us forever! haha.
It took us from 12 to 6:30. It was a long day. haha. But we just love to serve!
The other day at 8:15 we were driving and had no idea what to do.
So we both got the impression to go visit this investigator who we kinda dropped already.
But both also got the same doubting thought saying "He is never home."
As we both got these impressions we didnt tell each other until we were home. Crazy huh?
Anyways we go and visit this guy and of course hes not home. So i just think "great that was stupid i just ruined the night" Sike!
So we started knocking on the other side of the street and we came to 3 houses with lights on. We saw the first and saw that they were drinking inside so we skipped that one and knocked on the middle. This is at 8:30. And we cant knock anymore after that time. So the very last door. And this family lets us right in! All we say is "We are missionaries."
Such a miracle! This family is so sweet! they are so prepared. They even made us dinner! haha.
Then had an amazing miracle. So theres this less active woman names Synthia in our ward who hasnt come back in years cuz her husband is against the church. But we went over on Friday and she told us some great news. So what had happened was Synthias brother married a nonmember. And his wife just baptized their kids in the Catholic church without him knowing and it caused this big fight between them. So Synthia and her husband were talking about this experience and he said he wouldnt want to have that fight with her and so he gave her permission to baptize their 3 kids when they become of age!
We were so excited cuz she has this daughter whose 9. And she wants to go to church and get baptized! We are praying hard that her husband will not change his mind because Synthia and her daughters came to church on Sunday and loved it so much! We are so excited and grateful for that miracle. Plus Synthias mom is come in tomorrow and shes a super faithful member so she is going to help us out big time!
The Church is so true!

$20 Miracle

The weeks have been going by so fast!
We cant believe its already another Pday.
Super weird.
I dont really know what to say cuz weve just been finding all week.
We havent been able to teach many lessons but we are still doing great!
I do have some cool stories.
So Fernando has been coming back strong.
Hes so great. Im so proud of him. He really is trying hard to read and come to church. we are helping him to receive the Priesthood. We have a good time with him and we can feel the Spirit more and more in his life.
Cool story. We went by a less active and i was driving. we drove by hwer house and i thought 'shes not home.' But then i got a strong feeling to stop. So we did and knocked the door. Turns out she was home. But the miracle was that this man came up to us and gave us $20. When we asked him why he just said cuz he sees us out all the time and wanted to help us. We tried to talk to him about the Gospel but he didnt want anything to do with it! He was a nice man. He was actually from Russia. I know he will find the missionaries again and sit down and listen. He deserves that blessing.
The other day we had a tough lesson. This super hard hearted Catholic woman would just not listen to us. We were talking about the Book of Mormon and about Christ in the Americas and she just kept saying over and over "No es asi" (Its not that way) And everytime it just shook me and rocked my testimony. I was getting so mad but luckily my companion is just amazing and he started to testify which helped me keep my cool. And then the Spirit comforted me and confirmed to me the truths that i had already known. So i left happy.
Her daughter was super cool. So i know she will find the missionaries again someday and accept the invitation. Me and my comp both know that to be true.
Thank goodness for the Spirit. I cant see how people can live without it.
I love this Mission.

Have Faith. See Miracles

This week was incredibly fast!
Just like i said last week. Elder Sterr is a beast!
Weve been working so hard nonstop. Its been great!
We really are trying so hard to find people.
Weve had some pretty cool miracles but just cant seem to sit down and teach.
We have been tracting a lot! I dont really like tracting but Elder Sterr has so much faith that it rubs off on me and helps me to enjoy it. His faith has brought us miracles.
Weve found some pretty sweet people but they are For the English Elders or French Elders.
But it doesnt really matter its the same work. We know our time will come when we find people for ourselves.
Ive been in this area for 4 transfers now so i know i have some unfinished business.
I think its for this one woman named Angie. Her and her two kids are so amazing! And i love them so much but she just wont be baptized. Shes so ready and i know im here to baptize her or to help get her close! Im good with either one.
So the day which we had all been waiting for finally came.
Carina had her baby! It was so great!
We went and gave her a blessing Monday night cuz she was having some vicious labor pains. She had them from like Monday afternoon till 3 in the morning! It was a hard one for her.
We then went and visited her yesterday! Her son is so precious. The miracle of life.
He is a very special son. I know we found Carina right before he got born for a reason!
So the other day we were outside with these two kids who were blowing up these special rocket baloons and then letting them go. We were talking with them and then they gave us 2 balloons. So of course we start to play as well. But i could not blow up my balloon. It was so hard! I seriously strained myself. haha. The kids were doing it so easily but i couldnt! Luckily no one was around so i didnt embarrass myself. My mouth just hurt the rest of the night.
The mission is great! Love it.

Toe Jam

Transfers was sick!
So im staying as a zone leader for one more and i Finally GOT MY mtc companion!
Im so stoked! Elder Sterr. Hes such a beast. I know we are gonna see so many miracles. Hes gonna help me with so much. Spanish, Humility, Focusing, Finding, Baptizing. Hes just incredible. Im so excited. Ive waited for this my entire mission! What a blessing!
Okay so this week was crazy.
Elder Jelitto got called up to be an Office Missionary. So I again was in a trio for a week.
It was a lotta fun but very stressful. haha. Ive even started to break-out a little!
We are just struggling with finding. and teaching. I havent given up hope but its just hard.
And they split our area so now we have less to work with. But i know Elder Sterr will change the entire area!
So we had a crazy storm the other day! Like flash flood crazy!
It was so intense. They lightning was sick! And we saw a lighting strike a transformer. Sparks when every where it was so cool (Dont worry mom i was in the car)
Also had a huge miracle this past week.
We were helping someone move and this huge heavy dresser fell on my toe.
Im talking like 200lb dresser. This thing was ridiculous!
It hurt like crap!
But i held my peace like a man! Not a single tear! haha
But it was hurting really bad and i got a blessing. One of the senior couples in this mission is a foot doctor so i met with him and he dressed it and what not.
And so today i feel great! Nothing broke. Nothings too damaged. The Senior missionary even said today it looks amazing. He said himself its a miracle nothing broke and that i can what on it.
So that was a pretty great tender mercy of the Lord.
Gotta love the mission! Best thing every.

Battle Royale

Fun week.
So great things have been going on in MoVille!
Weve been working super hard but havent really been seein much success. We are trying ot find but our zone is just struggling with the finding. Its just been a rough transfer but everyone is just doing great.
The assistants decided that the mission should do a car fast! (Its just a way to show the Lord we are serious on finding by sacrificing our cars for a day.) But leave it up to the APs to big the 2 hottest days of the transfer! haha. It was supa hard but loved it!
We walked all day Monday and Yesterday. It was hilarious cuz it was suppossed to help us find people but no one was outside cuz it was so hot! But we still saw some miracles from it.
We had a whole bunch of water with us so no one got sick.
We were cutting through the forrests and what not so it was a lot of fun but not too efficeint. haha.
Yesterday we only had 2 appointments cuz it took us an hour to walk to our first appointment and then 3 hours to walk to our next appointment. (Im not exagerating we walked 3 hour straight!) We were dying, super sweaty! But we loved it!
We were just talking and laughing the whole time.
We did find a family of 11 so that was super sweet! We have an appointment with them this saturday!
So Zone activity went great! Everyone had a blast. It was cool. We all just ended up having a giant water fight! That was supa nice and felt great in the heat! haha.
Crazy story.
Our apartment office asked us the other day if we had roommates cuz there were two guys dressed like us and said they got locked out and needed a key to get in. So we thought it was someone in our zone so we called around. It wasnt... So we were super creeped out. haha. Luckily our apartment complex doesnt hand out keys with out ID so thats good! Blessings. We will be fine!
Transfers is next week! Have no idea where im going. Might be training again. We will see.
Mission = Love

Its been another great week here in DC.

Gotta love the mission.
The 4th was great! We had a lot of fun.
We played soccer and tennis in the morning for a bit then went down to DC. Thankfully we did not watch the parade. (I will not make that mistake twice.)
We went to the zoo. But there were no animals at all! So lame.
We pretty much just chilled a little but and then headed back at like 8. President let us stay out all day! What a blessing.
We then watched the fireworks in MoVille. It was actually really good.
And lemme just tell you the site we witnessed.
There were people every where! Like it was so packed!
There were people parked on the mediums and on the exits of the highways. They were all over! So it was a good day.
Things have been going pretty well.
We are still trying to find people. But we have seen some miracles.
Just doin the Lords work.
So next week we are having our zone activity. And we are gonna do like a Capture the Flag Battle Royale! We are so stoked. We are doing it all official and have 3 team captains by popular vote and then this morning we did a lottery draft! haha. It was pretty legit! Everyone is excited!
And then after we did that we finaly got enough courage to kill the wasps! We were just sick and tired of complaining to the front desk and seen no results. About 1 month now weve been wating.
So my companion was on guard duty with a tennis racket. I suits up from head to toe in clothes so only my face was showing. After many failed atempts we finally got a plan. We just grabbed a log squirt gun and sprayed them. They all fell to the ground and i just curbstomped them all! And whacked the nest off and smashed it.
Not gonna lie it was pretty terrifying but we showed them whose boss!
Just another day in the mission.
Love it.
Elder Julander
Well i thought i was gonna email on thursday but turns out all the
librarys are closed that day so i forgot... haha my bad.

But things have been going great!
We met the Cookes for the first time yesterday!
It was super exciting and nervous.
I can honestly say that i love the Cookes already.
The are both incredible.
President Cooke talked to us about war, of course. haha. He was in the
Army for 39 years. He told us of how we are at war. How we need to
keep up the fight and never give up. He knows a lot about war history
so im super excited. It was really inspiring and uplifting. He told us
that he is more concerned with our own testimony and conversion more
than anything. He said he wants us to be life long members and to
never fall away. Thats his goal as President. And if we are converted
completely then we will will still baptize.
It was so great. Im very excited. Got spiritual confirmation as soon
as he started speaking. Its going to be a great last 2 transfers with
him.
Elder Jelitto and I have been doing great. Still lovin the work and
its slowly picking up which is great! We are very happy and have
desires to work.
But really nothing too different. Its been raining like for the past
week. Everytime i see the son i just wanna cry. I miss it. haha. The
humidity is raising. Bummer...
So we have like 4 wasp nests on our balcony and we always talk to the
front desk about it but nothing ever gets don. So we decided that if
nothing gets done today tomorrow morning we are going to kill them
ourselves. haha. We are thinking up some plans.
I love the mission!
